Grace Lee was awarded an NICHD F31 Grant for her project titled "Determining the role of sperm microRNAs in early development and non-genetic inheritance." Congratulations Grace!​

The Conine Lab welcomes graduate student, Alexis Leach!

Alexis is a PhD student in the Cellular and Molecular Biology Graduate Group, under the Genetics and Epigenetics track. She received her Bachelors degree in Biology and Mathematics from Iowa State University in 2023. 

​

The Conine Lab welcomes Valeria Sosa-Vega, a student part of Penn's Summer Undergraduate Internship Program (SUIP)!

Valeria is a rising senior from the University of Puerto Rico studying biology with an emphasis in Genetics. She is interested in genomics, epigenetics, and women's health and hopes to do a PhD with a focus on these areas of research.

The Lalor Foundation's mission is to support early career researchers towards becoming independently funded in the field of mammalian reproductive biology as related to the regulation of fertility.

Colin was named a 2021 Pew Scholar in the Biomedical Sciences. He is one of 22 young investigators chosen from across the United States. As a Pew Scholar, the lab will receive funding for the next 4 years to facilitate  on how small RNAs in sperm influence embryonic development.

Congratulations to research techinican Olivia Crocker on presenting her work at the RNA Society 2021 Meeting. She presented her research as a poster on tRNA fragments in C. elegans fertilization and development.

Rachel Bartlett & Olivia Crocker join the lab as Research Technicians.

January 2020

           The Conine Lab opens at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The lab is located in the Center for Research on Reproduction and Women's Health on the 13th floor of the Biomedical Research Building (BRB). The lab is also affiliated with the Department of Genetics and Pediatrics at UPenn PSOM, the Division of Neonatology at CHOP, and the Penn Epigenetics Institute
